Fickle Pickerel

Fickle Pickerel is designed to imitate one of the most aggressive forage fish found in many bass waters. Its long, slender profile creates a strong presence in the water, making it an easy target for predators that are used to chasing larger prey.
Constructed from buoyant cedar, and built as a true wake and crank bait, the Fickle Pickerel will wake cleanly on the surface but also performs extremely well when cranked down. With increased retrieve speed the bait will dive and run in the 2-5 foot range, giving anglers the ability to quickly adjust their presentation depending on how fish are positioned.
This versatility makes it effective around weed edges, shoreline cover, shallow structure, and transition areas, where bass and other predators often ambush larger baitfish moving through the area.

Cast out, pause 2 seconds, then begin a slow and steady retrieve to create a consistent surface wake.
► Walk-the-Dog Variation
Cast out and instantly walk the bait side to side. Pause briefly, then continue at your preferred wake speed.
► Crankdown Retrieve
Cast out, pause briefly, then begin a steady retrieve. Increasing the retrieve speed will cause the bait to dive and run in the 2-5 foot range.
